Unique In-Town Location

YVG is located within the town limits.

Other airports are often
several kilometers from their town.

Visiting flyers appreciate being able to
walk or ride a bike downtown
to shop, or to have a meal.

A well-kept in-town airport is a tourism attraction
that can benefit local businesses.

YVG Welcomes Out of Town Visitors

Airside entrance – always open to welcome visiting flyers

Visitors Lounge

Trend-setting style? Maybe not.
But comfy and welcoming!

Guest Book

Over 40 pages of entries since 2013.
Many, many appreciative comments.

Barbeque and Picnic Table

The Vermilion River Flying Club donated the barbeque
and keeps the propane tank filled.

The Town of Vermilion provided the picnic table.

Bicycles!

Yes! Bicycles at the airport terminal,
tucked in under the stairs at the north side pilots entrance.

Community members including Burnt Rock Adventure Co., have donated bicycles to the Vermilion River Flying Club.

The flying club provides them free for the use of anybody who flies in to visit Vermilion.

Tire pump!

Burnt Rock has generously repaired and adjusted the bicycles.

When the snow flies, the bikes are stored for the winter
in a nearby private hangar.
They will return with good weather in the spring.

Under-Wing Camping

Free overnight camping for fliers.
Pitch your tent under your aircraft wing.

Roomy grassy area with plenty of tie-downs

Washrooms in the terminal building

Looks great! One thing I noticed – the main page more than fills my screen. So if I scroll down far enough to see the Quick links section and then click on one of the links, I actually could jump to that link without ever having seen the “Unique In Town location” section. I know, it’s a small criticism, but it actually happened to me, except that I knew enough to scroll back to the top to look for the first section. Maybe the first Quick Link should be “Unique In Town location”.
