ENHANCING HEALTHCARE ACCESS THROUGH INFRASTRUCTURE: THE ROLE OF VERMILION AIRPORT

This week, I met with representatives from the Vermilion Airport to discuss its important role in supporting healthcare and emergency services. The airport helps facilitate air medical transportation, ensuring that residents can access specialized care when needed while allowing local paramedics to stay available for local emergencies.

We also discussed ways to improve the airport’s infrastructure, such as adding GPS landing systems, to make sure it continues to meet the needs of healthcare providers and the community.

The Vermilion Airport is an important part of our healthcare system here in Vermilion and surrounding areas. It strengthens the connection between transportation and healthcare, benefiting both patients and emergency services.

As I campaign for the role of mayor, I’m committed to working with municipal and provincial partners, as well as local healthcare systems like our hospital and paramedics, to support and strengthen the airport’s role in our community’s healthcare solutions.
